Our dear friend and Executive Director of our Community Mission Partner Alaqua Animal Refuge in NW Florida Laurie Hardwick Hood and family, had their wonderful Black Dog Bucky pass away this past weekend. In honor of Bucky, we wanted to post his picture and send our thoughts and well wishes to Laurie and the whole family!

"Today my family lost one of our own, sweet Bucky. He was there when my husband and I moved to Freeport and started a family, he was the protector of my children, and the friend to every orphaned animal who entered our home. My family's heart breaks tonight."
